Bored Stiff? Read This!
Matthew 14:15
When evening came, the disciples came to Him and said,
“This is a remote and barren place, and the day is now over”
This was how the disciples viewed that place and that evening. They were bored and fed up! The place was remote, desolate and barren, there was no fruit and nothing of worth or interest there. The day had finished and there was nothing else to be done, nothing excting to experince or worthwhile to do. BUT
Jesus had different ideas about the place and the day. That evening he miraculously fed well over 5.000 (for some reason they only counted the men and not the woman and children!). He created loads of food out of someone’s willnessness to give their packed lunch! Jesus nips off to pray and the disciples go off in their boat. Then there’s that whole story about Jesus walking on the water and letting Peter have a go. That was about 4 in the morning! Then as soon as they landed on the other side he is healing loads of people. Imagine what the disciples would have missed if they went home to bed!!!!!
We are so wrong when we say “The place I am at is boring and dry, I can’t see anything exciting happening here it is too plain and too normal, or I have been there for so long nothing is going to change now” because God has a way of breaking in and causing exciting things to happen. He does not follow our rules of normal days, or hours or life. Our adventure with him will include some crazy and wild things and it will never be boring - if you can take the pace and if you hang around with Jesus!!

This is a frilled shark. It was found January 21st by a fisherman and there was a great commotion about the 5.3 foot shark. They are very rarely seen as they swim at depths of thousands of feet below the waters surface. To find out more click here

Dream on….
People use the phrase dream on because they do not believe that your dream has any chance of happening. God has a way of making crazy dreams happen an old couple have a baby (Isaac), a convicted criminal becomes the second most important man in an incredibly influential nation (Joseph), a man sleeps a night with wild lions (Daniel), three men walk around a burning furnace, an army knocks down a whole fortress wall with a shout (Joshua), a small farm boy beats a champion giant (David), a whole nation is saved a delivered from death by one man (Jesus)
People dream dreams about their own fame or fortune. It is all about them and their success. We dream about God’s success and how we can do our best to be heroes for him.
When you feel dissapointed just remember Joseph and his years in prison. He dreamt that his family would bow down to him and he would be influential and sucessful. Instead he ends up a convict behind bars for years. He didn’t give up but still believed his God given dream would happen - and it did. Even when our dreams seem so far away from coming real just remember Joseph and remember that at just the right time God will intervene. Just wait and have patience and keep on dreaming!! Dream on, and on, and on and on.                                                                                                   Â

Muppet for a name?
Hi a quick revisit to Muppet land. I seriously think that Benjamin (Joseph and the technicolour coat’s baby brother) needs some lesson in naming children. He named his sons Muppim and Huppim! (Gen 46:21)Â I bet they got picked on in school!!
Judah ran out of names and while he was thinking said errrr, errr and so that is what they called his son! (Gen 46:12)
…….and how do you say this name? - Puah! (Gen 46:13) I’m sorry but is it a real name?!!
Who said the bible chronologies were boring!! They are a laugh a minute!
