Walk this way
I don’t know if you have ever seen Monty Pythons ministry of funny walks (I will put it on a post tommorrow), but it does show how not to walk. Walking is about getting somewhere. It is the most common way for humans to travel along. We usually walk for a purpose - to go to the shops, to go to school, to fetch the tv remote! It is a means to a greater purpose
Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:15-17)
We need to watch how we walk the Christian life. Our journey here on earth carries purpose and is not meant to be a casual stroll in the park. Thinking about what we do with our weeks and days and hours is very important. Every time Christmas comes around it is gone again as the years spin by - but are we nearer to fulfilling the will of God for our lives? Is there a thoughtfulnes and a direction that we are travelling in which means we are making progress. It will take time to think and ponder and consider where we are going and what God’s will is Then it requires a deciding how it will all be put into action. Lastly it will need a going out and doing all that we have planned and thought about. Let’s not trip through life accidently but walk with determination and thoughtfulness.Â

Eyes wide open
Matthew 6:22
“Your eyes are windows into your body. If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. If you pull the blinds on your windows, what a dark life you will have!

Not cheap Just Precious
I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Therefore, I do not treat God’s gracious gift as something of minor importance.. (Gal 3 v 20&21 AMP).
God’s gift cost far more than your parents will ever spend on you this Christmas. If fact more than they will spend on all your Christmass together. Almighty God gave us the best. The perfect and umblemished Son.
Jesus’s gift cost far more than the world will give each other this Christmas. He did not give us an object, or a place but a person. He gave us himself, his very life so that we may live.
For this reason we should be careful that as the years go by we do not become numb to the wonder of the love of God. It is an incredible and amazing gift that he has lavished on us. Everytime we come into the presence of God our eyes should be wide open in wonder as a kid under the Christmas Tree just trying to take this amazing present. Casual and sloppy is not where it is at. Bored and yawning is not a pleasure to God. We should be on our tiptoes in thankyous with our worship to our King.

India miracle
I have stolen this from Roger Aubrey’s site. Do you remember his visit to Huddersfield? A link to his blog site is on the right of this post.
“ Recently I received a newsletter from my dear friend Chandrakant Chavada, an apostle who leads the Great Commission Movement based in Gujerat, India. Chandrakant encouraged me to publish the newsletter, which I know will inspire you. It contains his own marvellous testimony, along with stories of others who have been healed of cancers, HIV, deafness and dumbness. They are remarkable testimonies to the power of Jesus Christ. The newsletter is in PDF format.”

Examinations - OH NO!
Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it.
2 Corinthians 13:5 (MSG)
Are you solid in the faith? MMMMM are you sure? When is the last time you tested yourself -took your own examination to make sure. I guess it is as healthy as going for check ups at the dentist. Not drifting along crossing your fingers hoping that your teeth are healthy - but actually doing something about it.
So what questions would you ask yourself in this test - and is it multiple choice? Here are a few suggestions: When is the last time I obeyed God even if it was difficult? When is the last time I heard God speak? Is Jesus really boss of my life or am I? Is there anything in my life that means more to me than God?
Has anyone got anymore questions?

Just a thought
God is on Bible Week
God has a tent - and he likes to go camping! I Wonder if it is like the tent that Harry Potter stayed inside with the Weaslies - like a mansion inside.
God said to me, “My grace (My favor and loving-kindness) is enough for you for My strength and power are made perfect and show themselves most effective in your weakness.” Therefore, I will gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! ” (2 Corin 12 :9 AMP)
God pitches a tent on you. He does not fill it with food and clothes and wellies but he fills it with his power and strength!! God freely gives us his power and strength and causes it to rest on us. What an amazing thought.
When do we find this wonderful power resting on us? When we are perfect and hunky dory? When life is great and everything is tickety boo. NO it says that in our weaknesses and trouble God’s power is then at its best display. When we feel weak and then we do amazing things because of God, like heal someone, we see God at work. We know it can’t possibly be us.
Weakness in us is not a thing that should cause us to be ashamed - but cause us to give God a chance to do amazing things through us. Don’t buckle or shy away from your weakness but stand tall and let God show his power in ways you can not even imagine.

Just a little Message
Here is a little message from Nat who is now working hard at bible college. She has taken a year out before she goes to University to increase her understanding of God.
“Ah the youth! Tell them Nat said to keep going in God - get into that word - spend as much time as you can praying and listening, because there is more to walking with Jesus than they could ever hope dream or imagine.” Nov 2007
Nice picture Nat!!!
