‘We have the peace of reconciliation’ Chapter 5:1

I often see in people a striving to be more. Perhaps it is have more, see more, experience more, know more, be loved more or to feel more  valued. There is an unrest in mankind’s soul because of their strivings in life. 

For those who know God personally there is a rest and a peace. It is the rest of God’s presence knowing that we are on good relations with Him. We recognise that it is not through our own efforts, skills or striving that gets us anywhere - but it is all God. We live because of him, we

 laugh because of him, we hope because of him, we are blessed because of him. This rest  is a trusting that God is for us - he knows our strengths and weakness yet is passionate for us just the way we are. We don’t have to beg or grovel before God  the way into his presence  is clear an he invites us in to talk. He is interested in our day to day concerns and

 supports us encouragingly  throughout each day. He want the best for us at all times. Life with God is safe, secure and Loving.  God is fully satisfying and nothing on earth can compare with his companionship. Our relationship with God isn’t just a one way thing but it is a full and open relationship in which both in the love covenant are full participants.
