Who Am I?
My name is Alison Lloyd. I am a youth and community worker for the Jubilee Centre. I love my job and find it exciting and fulfilling.
When I was 7 I realised that I knew about the character of Jesus in the bible, I knew the stories about him but I didn’t know him personally. If he was alive I wanted to meet him, so I decided then and there to follow him. I now know him and have met him. He has totally changed my life and who I have become. My relationship with Jesus is more exciting and fulfilling than anything else on ear th.
When I had just turned 21 I married a brilliant and handsome man, Trev. He has an amazing capacity for thinking and I love his comp any. He is an inspiration to me and many others.
We have four wonderful kids. They are amazing and all so gifted in their own area. My life is never dull with them around and laughter is never far away in our house.
I have a dog (Gemma), two cats (Midget and Mischief), 2 rabbits (Teddy, Milly), a cockatiel (Jake) and a fish (fish) ee i ee i o.
We are part of the church that meet in Huddersfield called Community Church. It is an exciting church to be part of the things God is doing. God is radically transforming peoples lives.
What Pushes My Buttons ?
Many people I meet feel that there is a lack of true community today - many do not even talk to their own neighbours let alone have coffee together and leave their doors unlocked. Communities are plaged with graffiti, violence, family breakdown, depression, loneliness, hate, adiction and thoughtlessnes.
There is a v erse in Isaiah that talks about communities being changed back into real communities. ‘You will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings’ (Isaiah 58 v12) I want to be part of the mending the brokeness in our society. This can not be done with good ideas or group sessions alone but but the power of God’s Spirit working through those who will listen and obey.
I dream of neighbourhoods that are loving and vibrant. Where kids are safe, loved and reach their full potential. Where youths have a great time whilst feeling secure and taking responsibility for their actions. Where those who are elderly are valued and respected and people from all nations live productive lives in harmony. Where famine, wars, violence and abuse are never experienced. Communities where everyone feels fulfilled in their work, supported, encouraged and free.

Anything Else?
What apart from changing the world? I love music. This is my picture of Bryan Adams. It was my birthday suprise from Trev.
I love gigs, nature, walking, kids, drawing, thinking outside the box, rainbows, colours, fresh bread, seafood, streams, sunlight on ferns, silver birches, reading, watching films, musicals, theatre, biology, gadgets, texting, day dreaming, apple juice, autumn, walking through fresh snow, smoothies, animals, singing, poetry, boxercise, coconut ice-cream, crispy duck, lightening and thunder.
